Christina has been a volunteer therapist with the Olive Tree Cancer Support Centre since September 2023 offering Reiki sessions to our clients that are affected by cancer.  

 

Christina is a very gentle kind caring person and a good knowledge for healing and holistic therapy, she has such a calming manner about her and is always happy to listen, chat and give her time to anybody.  I have no negative feedback from our clients just positive, and clients that rebook and ask for Christina.

The sessions with Christina giving me Reiki were such a good experience and I thoroughly enjoyed them. She was very warm and engaging and made me feel heard and understood as she gave me the treatment.

 

I could feel the warm pulsating energy through my body and after each session I felt relaxed, refreshed and peaceful. After the four sessions I saw an improvement to my overall wellbeing and it allowed me to sleep better.

I often struggle to sit quietly to meditate on my own, so the Reiki sessions with Christina provided the opportunity to help me relax and not be bothered by my thoughts as they came and went.

 

Reiki was a tool to help me calm my mind and helped me be more aware of my body-mind connection. I felt very comfortable and cared for during the sessions and would recommend Christina for anyone looking for a Reiki therapist.

I had four sessions with Christina, never having Reiki before, I didn't know what to expect and I was pleasantly surprised with the effects after each session. She gave clear explanations and gave the time needed to discuss topics that arose during the session.

 

The physical pain from my foot injury disappeared after the session which allowed me to walk more easily on it. I felt more centred and relaxed after each session and would definitely recommend Reiki and Christina for healing both physical and mental ailments.

I've had multiple sessions with Christina. She is very caring and gentle. She always explains everything she is going to do before the session starts and we go over where I might need more of a healing energy boost.

 

I always leave a session feeling relaxed, calm and balanced. I would highly recommend One Love Usui Reiki.

I was somewhat sceptical before my first session only having heard of this therapy but with very limited information or knowledge but approached it with an open mind. However after meeting Christina who asked some initial questions regarding my health I was reassured by her explanation of what I might expect from the session.

I laid down fully clothed on the couch whilst she put on some very restful and soothing music and felt a light touch as she worked from my head down one side across my feet and back up the other side. She did not touch the area of surgery or near my PICC line. As she explained at the beginning she touched me on the shoulder to signify the end of the session.

During the session I felt my back become warm on my right side and felt an awareness of a sensation on the right side of my stomach. I felt my muscles relax as the session went on and all the tension leave my body. At the end of the treatment I was fully rested relaxed and ready to face the fight against cancer again.

In the next session I felt the same warmth and sensation as the first treatment but also as though a bright light was being shone on me but this was not the case and the blinds were closed in the treatment room. My last session took place a day after my chemo and although I was feeling very tired and lethargic, I attended the session and walked out bouncier and with a new ‘spring in my step’ which had not been there when I had arrived at the Olive Tree.

I am now fully converted to this wonderful therapy and cannot recommend highly enough both the treatment and Christina who has a gentle and calming approach. She allows you to gain the most relaxation and emotional well-being from the session. Whilst the medical treatments might be gruelling, Christina and Reiki go some way to balance that out so that I can forget chemo and concentrate on feeling more like my pre-cancer self.

I find it quite difficult to put into words how beneficial the reiki treatments with Christina have been. Each treatment I have had with her has brought a feeling of relaxation and balance and also helps with any aches and pains in tired limbs.

 

I can only say I look forward to the next treatment, whenever possible and try and learn from her ability to calm my body and nerves.
